Have you ever heard the statement, “When you know better, you do better”? Is there a part of you that knows that that statement is not true. It’s not true because you already know what you should do and you may even know how to do it, but a stronger, silent part prevents you from making change and you’re left beating up on yourself.

Have you ever heard yourself say something like, “a part of me wanted one thing, when another part of me was confused or wasn’t sure”? Maybe you made a decision even though a part of you somehow knew it was wrong, that it wasn’t the right decision for you. But there were so many other variables to consider, so many contradicting parts. So, you chose to ignore your intuition and dissenting parts.

The message I have for you is simple. “YOU are the one you’ve been waiting for!” This is where healing happens and Self-leadership begins. This statement is a book title by Dr. Richard Schwartz, the founder of Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy and clients will hear me repeat that statement often because, I believe it is true. I have chosen to use IFS therapy to help clients learn to listen to their parts, to acknowledge their emotions, their thoughts, their feelings and body sensations. They are the body’s information highway. Ironically, clients have learned very successfully how to ignore this information because it can be very uncomfortable to be present with it and to heed what it wants us to know.

Are you here because life is overwhelming and you’re not feeling the joy and happiness you’ve been seeking? Are you here because deep down there is something missing and it’s impacting your life and your relationships? Then you’re in the right place. When people are feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, confused, or in deep emotional pain; when relationships are breaking down and they can’t figure out why, it’s hard to imagine that the answers aren’t outside of themselves but instead deep inside. It’s hard to imagine that the safety they are seeking is a relationship between Self and one’s parts.

As a Licensed Counselling Therapist, it is a privilege to work with clients and help create safe attachments between their Self and their parts, to become Self led. Let the healing begin! It would be a privilege to work with you!

I love black coffee before 10:30 a.m. but black tea with milk after 10:30 a.m. Just one of my many little quirks! I am in my happy place when I’m hiking or biking on a beautiful day. I like how movement helps me feel good physically and mentally. I particularly enjoy these activities as group tourism adventures, getting to meet new people. My typical days are filled with my work and endless hours with friends, family and related responsibilities that I enjoy more than I can express.
